Principal Investigator Training

Presenters included Russ Still, Executive Director of GASCO; Nancy Paris, Georgia CORE and GASCO hosted the Principal Investigator Training program, sponsored by Pfizer, Inc. on November 3, 2006 at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead, prior to GASCO’s Annual Meeting in Atlanta. Principal Investigators across the state received an educational program designed to improve skills required to plan, conduct, and report clinical trials. The learning modules included topics such as:
- Planning and preparation
- Recruitment and enrollment
- In-trial procedures
- Safety in clinical trials
- Monitoring, audits, inspections, and publication
Presenters included Russ Still, Executive Director of GASCO; Nancy Paris, President of Georgia CORE; and Paul Bailey, Regional Medical Research Specialist, Pfizer. The program was offered free of charge and provided participants with an opportunity for CME credits.
