Sharad A. Ghamande, MD, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Gynecologic Oncology. In addition to treating oncology patients, Dr. Ghamande is also an Assistant Professor at Georgia Regents University. He earned his Medical Degree from Bombay University in India, completed a residency at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a fellowship at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Ghamande also completed fellowship programs at both Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Ghamande’s clinical interests include ovarian cancer and radical cancer surgery. He is committed to clinical cancer research and encourages patients to participate in clinical trials in order to advance the quality of cancer care available. Dr. Ghamande serves as the Principal Investigator for the Georgia CORE Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) Consortium, the only statewide member of the national GOG Cooperative Group supported by the National Cancer Institute. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society during his residency at Boston University.
